By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
1. About the App
The App is owned and operated by e-Zap Health Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
The App has been developed by Mia Studios Ltd, which acts solely as a data processor and provides technical development and infrastructure services.
e-Zap Health is designed as a personal health tracking and organisational tool that allows users to record and organise health-related information including symptoms, diagnoses, medications, surgeries, tests, scans, allergies, diet, mood, wellbeing and related notes.
The App is not a medical device and is not regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App.
By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. Account Access and Authentication
Authentication Infrastructure:
Authentication services are supported by third-party providers including Supabase and email delivery services such as Resend.
These providers process email addresses and limited technical metadata solely for the purpose of authentication and system reliability.
Such providers do not access health data or image data stored within the App.
Access to the App requires verification through a one-time email authentication process.
Authentication services are provided by third-party infrastructure providers. Users must provide an email address to receive a secure access code.
Authentication data, including email addresses and technical metadata, may be processed by such providers for the purpose of secure login and fraud prevention.
Users are responsible for safeguarding their access credentials.
If access credentials are lost, access to the App and associated data may not be recoverable.

Users acknowledge that uploaded images may contain personally identifiable information (including but not limited to names, addresses, NHS numbers, clinical documents, or prescription details).
The Company:
- does not request such information
- does not review, inspect, or moderate uploaded images

Users may voluntarily enter personal health information into the App, including but not limited to:
symptoms
symptom diary entries
diagnoses
medications
surgeries or medical procedures

The linking function is organisational only and fully controlled by the user.
The App provides tools for organising and summarising user-entered information.
All outputs generated by the App:
- are based solely on user-entered data
- may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
- are provided for informational purposes only
Users must not rely on the App or its outputs for medical or clinical decision-making.

The App may include features that provide automated analysis or summaries based on user-entered data.
At present, such features operate using internal logic and algorithms.
Future versions of the App may incorporate third-party artificial intelligence services.
If such functionality is introduced:
- it will be optional and user-initiated
- no directly identifiable personal data will be transmitted
- users will be informed via an updated Privacy Policy
Users acknowledge that:
- automated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete

1. Introduction
The e-Zap Health application includes optional artificial intelligence (“AI”) features designed to help users review and organise the health information they have recorded within the application.
This AI functionality is intended to assist users in understanding patterns within their recorded health data and to generate informational summaries that may be useful when preparing for medical consultations.
The AI system is designed to support health awareness and record organisation, and is not intended to replace professional medical advice or diagnosis.
2. AI Technology Used
AI functionality within the App is powered by technology provided by OpenAI.
When a user requests AI analysis, certain health information entered into the App may be transmitted to the AI service for processing.
The AI system analyses this information and generates automated responses based on statistical models trained on large datasets.

When the AI feature is used, the following types of information may be processed:
- symptoms entered by the user
- diagnoses recorded by the user
- medications (including over-the-counter medications)
- surgery or procedure records
- medical test and scan information
- symptom diary entries
- health notes recorded by the user
The App is designed so that personally identifiable information is not included in AI requests.
This means that information such as:

are not transmitted to the AI service.
4. Purpose of AI Processing
The AI feature may assist with:
- generating health summaries
- preparing doctor appointment briefing documents

Users should understand that AI systems:
- may produce incorrect information
- may omit relevant medical considerations
- may not reflect the latest clinical guidelines
- may not apply appropriately to individual health circumstances
AI responses may also change over time as AI systems are updated or as the same information is interpreted differently in separate analyses.
For these reasons, AI outputs must not be relied upon as medical advice.
6. Human Oversight
The AI system operates automatically and does not involve human medical review.
No licensed healthcare professionals review or approve AI-generated outputs within the App.
Users remain responsible for evaluating the relevance and accuracy of the information generated.

The AI features are designed to support:
- personal health record organisation
- preparation for medical appointments
- general health awareness
AI features should not be used for:
- diagnosing medical conditions
- determining treatment plans
- replacing professional healthcare advice
- managing medical emergencies
8. Medical Decision Responsibility
Users remain solely responsible for decisions related to their health and medical care.
Any decisions regarding:
- diagnosis
- treatment
- medication
- medical testing
should be made in consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
9. AI and Medical Device Status
The AI functionality within e-Zap Health is designed to assist with data organisation and informational summarisation only.

e-Zap Healthcare Ltd may update or modify AI features to improve functionality, safety, or performance.
AI outputs may therefore differ between versions of the App.
